Just recently I had done an interview with Tyler Nagata, an Editor for GamesRadar. I had sent him my work and shortly after, sent me a message on my YouTube account. I was astonished and at first I didn’t know if I was contacted by the right person. I was shocked by it and I decided to email back. He sent me some questions by email and the rest is history. I’m so glad that he decided to feature me on their game site. Click here for the article. This situation is surreal in a way because I had never in a million years think that I would be interviewed by a very successful gaming site. It’s an amazing opportunity and this really helps me get noticed by other crafters and gamers out there.

Well, my parents and I have finished priming and painting the walls. The color is a little bit darker than the one I previously had. It’s like a custard-ish color. Or maybe like an egg pie (hm…this is making me hungry). So we started installing the wooden floors today and, to our dismay, it took longer than expected. We’ve only installed two rows. I mean, I knew it wasn’t going to be easy. For some reason I thought that it would be easier to put the floor in as oppose to painting the walls. Now that I think of it, I don’t know why I thought that. Well, at least we’re done the walls. After the floor is done, we still have to paint the closet doors and the bedroom door. Installing wooden flooring is tricky because you have to plan beforehand. You have to evenly distribute the short, middle, and long pieces. The pieces are not the same color either. Some are lighter or darker than others. I will be posting more about this later. If you guys haven’t seen my video on why I’m renovating my room, please click here to view it.

Recently I made a pick-ups video (you can view it here) and I told people that I purchased Sherlock Holmes. My friend told me that it was really good and that I’d love it so I decided to buy it. I watched it with my parents and it was great! I love how Robert Downey Jr. put a different twist into the character. I’ve seen old Sherlock Holmes films and Downey just does a phenomenal job with it. I hope they make a second one because I’ll probably buy that one too.

Wow! So when you thought you’ve heard everything, I come bearing some pretty ridiculous news. An article on the New York Daily News reported that a woman was hit by a car after following directions from google on her phone. She had looked up “walking” directions on her Blackberry and planned on going to her destination on foot. She claimed that Google didn’t warn her about the absence of a sidewalk along the highway. Ok, so Google should be blamed for you not being attentive? I mean if it was the driver’s fault she could have just sued the driver. She instead sued both the driver and Google. Does that make any sense? Hm… What do you guys think? The woman is alright by the way.  Here is the full article.

Ok, so I’ve been updating my blog and changing around some things. I’ve figured out that I can put links on the side. I’ve seen these on other blogs and I just realized that I could do that too. The only thing I can’t figure out is how to get rid of the borders and white background from my links. It’s a little annoying that it’s there but I don’t know what to do about it. If anyone knows how I can get rid of that please let me know.

I’ve added three video links to my tutorial videos for easy viewing. I take suggestions on what I could do to enhance my blog. Please feel free to comment below.

I’ve been on a very long hiatus when it comes to gaming. Recently I’ve been hearing a lot about new games coming up including Super Scribblenauts and Final Fantasy XIII. I really like Scribblenauts. Even though there are some glitches in it, it is still a really fun game. I love how you can use almost anything to your advantage.

Final Fantasy XIII is really different from the other FF games from what I’ve heard. I’m really interested in trying these two games out. However, I’m without a 360 at the moment and I need to get one.

I should also probably invest in a PS3 as well since they’re coming out with good games for it. I’ve seen DSP’s gameplay on YouTube for Heavy Rain. It’s a really interesting concept and I’m truly impressed with the way it’s set up. The story is not very complicated but it is very engaging. Even if you’re just watching someone play it, you get attached to the characters. Character development is really well done and you go through a range of emotions with this one.

I’d like to know what you guys are looking forward to playing this year. Please leave a comment if you’d like =)

Seasons I love the best

Posted: May 30, 2010 in Summer

It’s summer again and it’s time to pull out those shorts, swim wear and flip flops. I don’t know which one I prefer better, Winter or Summer. Winter is such a peaceful and serene season. Even with the existence of blizzards and sleet, I still find Winter to be very pleasant. Summer on the other hand is the season of fun and excitement. Summer brings back so many memories of my times in Asia. I remember hanging out at the pool with my friends, and having potlucks at my parent’s friend’s houses. It’s the season for memories, watermelon and ice-cream.

What do you guys think of Summer?

Pinc.stuff is a delightful online store owned by Sheryl Ng. She sells cute jewelry, pillows, hair accessories and more. The main focus here however is her baked goods. In that section of her website she has anything from earrings to bracelets. Examples include cookie earrings, marshmallow earrings and dessert pendants. I have ordered from here twice already and I love what she makes.

You guys should definitely visit the site. If there is something you want made, you can custom order your item. The 1-UP mushroom and Totoro earrings were a custom order of mine ^_^ Sheryl also has a YouTube page which you can view right here.
